| FAST
DIGITIZING |
| Convert a VHS tape into a
DVD |
|
- Requirements: Your videotape
- It takes a few days to “digitize” a
video tape
- Any video tape can be digitized into a CD or
DVD
- One CD contains 2 hours of deposition * One DVD
contains 4-6 hours of deposition
|
| Should
I order a DVD or CD at the deposition? |
| We recommend that
attorneys order a DVD with an MPEG1 file, in addition
to their regular DVD’s. Trial and case
management software support MPEG1 files but not
“regular” DVD files.
|
| Is DVD
a higher quality picture? |
| Yes. However,
trial and case management software do NOT support
DVDs. If you’re going to watch the DVD on your
computer, please make sure your DVD drive can de-code
MPEG-2 files before ordering a DVD. |

| DIGITIZE &
SYNCHRONIZE VIDEO TESTIMONY |
| Combining video with the
ASCII file onto DVD |
|
- Requirements: a VHS tape or CD and the ASCII
file
- Final product delivered on CD – all tapes
and ASCIIs returned to client
- D&S process only takes a few days!
- Importable into any case or trial management
software
|
| Why
would I want the video synchronized with the ASCII
file? |
| As the deponent
speaks on video, the transcript will scroll in time,
underneath the video, while the text is highlighted
in yellow. |
| Do I
need to purchase software to view the
CD? |
| NO. The CD
comes with a browser that automatically pops-up when
you insert the CD. |
| What
if I don’t have time to watch the entire
deposition? |
| You
don’t have to watch the entire deposition.
Fast-forward, rewind, pause and play with a simple
click of your mouse. |
| I
don’t have a lot of time in court. How can I
emphasize portions of the deposition without
fast-forwarding or rewinding? |
| Emphasize
critical points by creating a “clip”.
Clips are created in 3 simple steps. Locate the
testimony you want on the CD, press start clip, press
finish clip – and you’ve got a powerful
clip to save on your computer! |
